Abstract EN

The problem of the study is about the problems facing the elderly in the city of Riyadh.

The study aimed at identifying family, health, psychological, physical and leisure problems facing the elderly in the city of Riyadh.

Moreover, to identify the extent of statistical differences, in the responses of the sample to the problems faced by them, attributed to personal variables.

To achieve the objectives and procedures of the study, the surveying descriptive approach used.

The study population represented in the elderly members of King Salman Social Center.

The study applied to a sample of (150) of them, through visits, by the researcher, to them at the center and at home.

The researcher relied on the questionnaire, which subjected to the standards of validity and stability.

Many appropriate statistical methods using the SPSS program used.

The study reached several results, most important of which are: 1.

The degree of family and health problems facing the elderly is medium.

2.

The psychological and physical problems and those of leisure time, mentioned in the study, rarely occur to the elderly study sample.

3.

The problems facing the study sample in the city of Riyadh arranged in the following order: Family problems, followed by health problems, then the problems of leisure time, psychological problems, and physical problems came in the final arrangement.
