Abstract EN

The Egyptian Archaeologist Zaki Saad found in his excavations in Helwan cemetery in Ezbet El Walda area an important collection of funerary stelae of limestone for individuals depicting the tomb owner sitting to the offering table and next to him his name and titles.

Zaki Saad found a number of these stelae in the ceiling of the burial chamber and its Engraved face down toward the deceased face, so he called it: "ceiling stelae".

These stelae show a lot of information about the religious, social, economic, artistic life and the relationship between Egypt and its neighbors during the era of the first and second dynasties.
