Abstract EN

This Research deals with the indications of the diplomatic communication between the democratic republic of Yemen and the USA during a period that witnessed a remarkable openness at the level of foreign policy of the democratic republic of Yemen, since the severance of the diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1969.

The current study shows the regional impact that enhanced the diplomatic proximity between them following the sort of proximity between Egypt and the USA, as well as the role played by the congressman, sir Paul Findley who, at the end, contributed to accomplishing a series of meetings between the high ranking officials of the two countries.

This research also discusses the problem of regaining diplomatic relations.

In addition, the work explains Saudi Arabia's influence in the American decision-making that considerably contributed to direct American policy towards the democratic republic of Yemen, focusing on the American position concerning this proximity in regard to the importance of the Arabian Peninsula and the horn of Africa to the USA because of the US interests in these locations.

Thus, the USA attempted to take open position to contain the system in Eden and to weaken the political power of the Soviet in the inside
