This study aims to highlight the educational approaches used in the Qur'an to guard against the phenomenon of ostentation.

the researcher used the deductive method and the descriptive analytical method as both are most suited to achieve the aims of the study.

the study tackles the following aspects : illustration of the concept of ostentation, its types and different forms, as well as its likely consequences.

highlighting the qur’anic methodology of warning against ostentation and identifying the educational approaches used in the Qur'an to guard against this phenomenon.

the study lists its main findings and suggests recommendations.

main findings the Qur'an points out a number of highly important educational methods which, if implemented, will maintain sound social behaviour that shuns showiness, ostentation and boasting.

main recommendations urges the presentation of an academic educational project, based on the Qur'an and the prophet’s Sunnah, promoting sound social behaviour that observes Islamic values and principles.

the project should aim to discourage unhealthy social behaviour such as showiness and boasting.

it should incorporate a clear and gradual application mechanism.

the project should be carried out and implemented through the social media, satellite television and other information media.
