Abstract EN

This research aims to reveal the effectiveness of imagination strategy in geometry for developing the spatial ability among the primary stage students.

The quasi-experimental approach for control and experimental groups was used and the study group consisted of (60) students from among the fifth primary grade students divided them into (30) students for experimental group and (30) students for control group and the research tools included the experimentation tools which contained the student's guide (the student's book + worksheets) in the two units "Measurement and geometry conversions" and the teacher's guide for teaching the two units "Measurement and geometry conversions" in the light of imagination strategy and measurement tools which include the test of spatial ability in geometry (prepared by the researcher) and the research found the most important findings as follows:  There are statistically significant differences at significance level (0.01) between the mean scores of experimental and control groups students in the post application of spatial ability test in favor of the experimental group.

In light of these findings, the study recommends the need to pay attention to use the imagination strategy as a way to teach geometry at all levels of education.
