Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the range of using science teachers for the authentic Assessment strategies, and exporling the obstacles that encounter implementing these strategies in Sharurah governorate, in addition to knowing the effect of these variables (gender, trianing, experience ) on the degree of using science teachers for the authentic Assessment strategies.

a questionnaire was designed which consisted of (46) items, (31) items measuring five domains authentic assessment strategies and the remaining items (15) measuring the obstacles.

It was applied on a sample which consisted of (46) teachers.

Results of the study showed that the degree of using science teachers for the authentic assessment strategies was high, there were no statistically significant differences found due to the influence of (gender) variable.

and differences were found due to the trianing variable for the teachers who were taking courses in training, and differences were found due to the experience variable for teachers experienced more than 6 years, also the result show that the obstacles become a high degree, and the most important obstacles revealed by the study: The inadequacy of allocated time to cover the content of science curriculum, a few training programs in authentic assessment, and increasing the teaching burden on the teachers.

The study included many recommendations, The most important one was: Increase the number of science classes in school timetable, Reduced the teaching burden for the teacher, provide training programs for teachers in the field of modern assessment strategies in order to improve the ability of teachers in this field, provide all the material and human to overcome the obstacles that face them during the authentic assessment application.
