The safety of energy export pipelines represents one of the most important energy security factors, if not the most important; as it directly affects the economies of countries if the supply of energy exports from, oil and gas, of the oil producing countries ceases to reach the major consuming countries for these important exports in the international economy.

The process by which oil exports reaches their places of consumption is subject to a number of international and domestic threats.

They are also subject to disruption due to the conflicts among the world's countries that are eager to seize control over the sources of energy .Moreover, the energy pipelines could be the main driver for those international conflicts.
