Abstract EN

The supreme leadership of the national liberation Front took a historic decision to declare the liberation revolution on November 1, 1954, and the outbreak was successful no doubt.

However, this suprised the opposite side of the revolution, which shows to what extent its plan was made secret.

Hence, there were some claims about potential military reinforcements for eliminating the revolution in its infancy.

Once met in the late November of the same year, they called for the insurgency to be buried, and searched for the leaders of this rebellion and their organizations to whip them off the map.

Yet, this policy of repression seems to have failed; and the evidence is reflected in the renewal of the series of reforms used by French authorities whenever necessary.

At this point, it is important to refer back to Jacques Sustal's reforms in the history of the French war in Algeria.
