Abstract EN
The objective of this study is to assess the impact of banking reforms on the performance of the banking sector in Algeria by analysing performance indicators at the macro level of the activity volume, growth indicators and degree of stability of the sector.
The study found an improvement in the performance of the Algerian banking sector.
This issue was the result of Algeria's economic prosperity since 2001 and not driven by drastic financial reforms.
In this context, banks are still lacking the most efficient ways to attract deposits.
