Abstract EN

The study aimed to measuring effectiveness of teaching science using Roundhouse diagram strategy in developing reflective thinking skills to the female students of the first intermediate grade To attain the aim of the study, the quasi-experimental approach on a sample of (46) students of the female students of the first intermediate grade in Jeddah.

Study tools and materials : a list of reflective thinking skills, content analysis form, female teacher's guide female students booklet of "Life variety" were prepared as per Roundhouse diagram strategy and reflective thinking skills test and statistical manipulation was conducted using A T-test for independent samples to detect the differences among the average marks for the female students groups and the following results were attained: There is a difference with a statistical significance at the level of (0,05) among the average marks of the experimental and control groups in the dimensional application of reflective thinking skills test.

Where was average the control groups (9,74) While the experimental average (22,17) and more (12,43)… The skills of the experimental group came in order where get visual vision skills(4,61), followed detecting fallacies (4,43) , then making deductions (4,30), next giving persuasive interpretations(4,43) , finally setting solutions out(4,39).

In the light of the above mentioned results, the researcher recommended using Roundhouse diagram strategy in the different educational curricula due to its effectiveness in developing reflective thinking skills.
