The matter of international trade and environment is considered a relatively recent topic in the international discussions filed.
Among these discussions is the application of environmental standards and and their impact on the trade of developing countries.
The aim of this research is to cast light on the nature of the reciprocal relationship between emancipation of the trade and the environment, it aims also to recognize the environmentel criteria and their impact on the competitiveness of developing economies by focusing on economic sectors in wich developing countries achieve competitiveness.
The stady has concluded that the environmental standards have positive and negative effects ; protection and preservation of the environment and customer health are the forefront of the positive effects.
As for the negative effects, the trade of the developing countries has obviously affected by it and it also became incapable of facing such challenges, theseeffects had prevented the trade to enter the world markets.
