Abstract EN

Since the beginning of the third millennium; the Algerian economy has seen a remarkable development due to the employment of oil revenues in the financing of several development programs, which did not fit the size of spending with the absorptive capacity of the national economy, resulting in obstruction of the development of non-oil productive sectors and the increasing risks to the Algerian economy.

In spite of its important the recent Algerian economic policies have not made a significant improvement in the economic performance, which is still depend on the international demand for oil.

These great challenges facing Algerian economy require a revision of the oil exploitation strategies in the light of the various political, economic, social and environmental issues.
