Abstract EN

This research aims at highlighting one of the important access point in teaching foreign languages; content based instruction.

this instruction embodies integration between language and content through reviewing the instruction's concept in the field of teaching a second language, recognizing the instruction's varieties, and concentrating on one of its forms.

this form in specific is, from our consideration, a logical solution to a problem that some students face.

this problem is the lack of developing their language efficiency to get them involved in the university's academic programs.

through this research, we will present an applied model to teach Arabic for speakers of other languages based on sheltered content instruction which is one of models of the content based instruction.

in addition to elicit the attitudes of Arabic language teachers as a second language in Jordan toward using it in their classes.
