There is multi elements of folk culture in ouargla city tangible and intangible, this city witch located in the south-east of the Algerian desert, where we find the traditional housing in the old palace, it is one of the most features intangible heritage, through its construction of local available materials, due to its characteristics, in addition to its internal design which is linked to the culture of the group and daily lives of its members' and economic and climatic facts.

this article came to study the traditional housing in palace ouargla where the role of its unique characterizes and features in terms of design and functionality.
