Education in the world is facing multiple and accelerating challenges as a result of the tremendous changes in knowledge, information, technology and communication systems, which have made the standards of competition and excellence the most important ingredients of success and strength in the world.

Quality is an effective tool for implementing continuous improvement of all aspects of the system in any institution and educational system.

As a basic infrastructure that works according to a specific strategy that takes into account the prevailing economic, social and cultural conditions and the technological and global developments.

Therefore, it is concerned that its outputs are in accordance with international standards of quality by constantly seeking to use standards to measure them.

this article tries to shed light on the criteria and indicators that controls the quality system in the educational domain and addressing the goals and justifications that led to the adoption, and to recognize the importance and the objectives of their application in the educational process, and the most important obstacles that prevent their personification in the Algerian school.
