Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to identify the listening skills necessary for academic achievement at King Abdulaziz University.

To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire to determine the listening skills required for university students and to build the listening skills test for university students.

For university students.

The results showed that the level of university students' acquisition of the listening skills required for academic achievement was good, and that the level of mastery of these skills is within the good level.

In the light of the results of the study, the researcher made a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: To teach courses in listening to the university education stage; to aim at early training in his skills and mastery according to scientific bases; and to train teachers to master these skills and how to develop them among their students.
