The present study aims to reveal the factors affecting school adaptability for slow learning and ordinary pupils.
The study sample contains (191), in which the number of slow learners’ reaches (77) students divided into three study levels.
there number in the primary school is estimated (31) pupil, (29) in the middle school, and (17) in secondary school.
concerning ordinary students (114); the number of pupils in primary education is estimated (40) student, (39) in middle school, and (35) at the secondary level.
it has been applied to this sample the factors affecting school adaptability for “al gassass” (2013), and the study found the following results : there are factors which influence school adaptation where psychological compatibility is the most influencing factors on school adaptability followed by social harmony, and last school compatibility.
there are no differences between slow learners and ordinary ones in the factors affecting school adaptability on the scale as a whole.
in terms of dimensions, the study has reached the conclusion that there are no differences in the dimension of psychological compatibility between the slow learning students and ordinary ones.
it has been deduced, however, that there are differences between students of slow learning and ordinary ones in social harmony and this is for the benefit of slow learners whereby this has been confirmed in the dimension of school compatibility.
it has been deduced that there are differences between slow learning pupils and ordinary ones depending on the variable of school phase in the factors affecting school adaptability and the differences are in favour of middle school students.
