The present study aimed at identifying the scientific reasoning level of pre-service science student teachers enrolled in the educational diploma program and its relation to their self-concept and attitudes towards the teaching profession.

To achieve the purpose of the study, the descriptive approach was used, The sample consisted of (84) students enrolled in the educational diploma program at Taif University, in the 2nd semester of the academic year 1438/1439 AH, Three tools were applied, scientific reasoning test, selfconcept test, and attitudes toward teaching profession test.

The findings of the study revealed that the preservice science student teachers ability of scientific reasoning is higher than the mean satisfaction level reached by the arbitrators (65%), and (48.81%) of them in the transitional reasoning level and (47.62%) in the satisfaction reasoning level, and (3.57%) of them in the descriptive reasoning level.

The results also showed that the level of self-concept among the sample was great, their attitudes towards the teaching profession were medium, and a positive relationship was found between scientific reasoning ability of preservice science teacher and his self-concept and his attitudes towards the teaching profession.
