Current research aimed to detect the type and level of the relationship between parental treatment methods as perceived by children and professional tendencies of secondary school third grade students In Riyadh.

In this research, the researcher followed the relational descriptive approach.

The sample consisted of (803) students of the secondary third grade.

Measure of parental treatment methods for Al Qarni (1993) and the professional tendency measure (CIT) prepared by James Othanaso (2003) and Arabized and rationed by Afaf Saaty (2006).

The researcher used in the study many statistical methods: Pearson's correlation coefficient,–T- test.

There is a statistically significant positive relationship at the level of (0.01) or less between the normality dimension of the dimensions of parental treatment methods and professional tendency to the children of the secondary third grade students.

1) There is a statistically significant negative relationship at the level of (0.05) or less between cruelty dimension of mother and the scientific tendency and practical tendency of the professional tendency dimensions to the children of the secondary third grade students.

2) There are no statistically significant differences between children from the secondary third grade students in their understanding of the dimensions of parental treatment methods attributed to the major variable (scientific - literary) except in mother's cruelty which was statistically significant at the 0.05 level or less and in favor of literary division students.

3) There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) or less between children of the secondary third grade students in scientific tendency and practical tendency attributed to the major variable (scientific - literary) in favor of scientific division students.
