Money laundering is a recent term that was first introduced in the United States to demonstrate the operations of the mafia in order to legitimize their illegal acts.

Money laundering has become a phenomenon ofa great interest to all the countries of the world, whether developed or underdeveloped, because of its economic, social and cultural effects.

Therefore, we are seeking through this paper to highlight the risks that are associated with the money laundering crime and its negative effects, as well as the most important obstacles to combating this phenomenon in Algeria and ways of reducing it.
