Louis Hjelmslev’s Text Notion The Founder of the Glossematic School Abstract : Louis Helmslav is the first Western linguist that used the “text” as a notion and a term since 1943.
He considered the “text” as a linguistic and semiotic system consists of the relationships between linguistic units and semiotic signs.
This notion of “text” is based on epistemological background which rooted in mathematical logic.
