The problem of obstacles that face the contemporary Arab writing is deeply a complex issue and a truly in-depth discussion of this topic is unfortunately beyond the scope of this article.

But our essay attempts to show some obstacles starting with the following questions: what are the main obstacles that face the contemporary Arab thought? How can we meet these obstacles? We mention that these challenges are read differently by different Arab intellectuals, among these names, we find Jabiri, Arkoun and others.

In this context, we focused on a few themes as obstacles which make a meeting-point between Arab thinkers among these are: Ideology, Occidental thought and Heritage.
