The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of the learning cycle strategy according to the constructive learning theory in increasing the academic achievement in chemistry for the second grade secondary students.The experimental method was used.

The researchers chose the girls secondary schools in Khartoum to apply the experiment.

The sample of the study constituted of (60) students, (30) students for the experimental group and (30) students for the control group.

After confirming the equivalence of the two groups in the variables (age and learning achievement through the pre-test) The researchers adopted the experimental method with the pre-test and post-test design.

The experimental and control groups were then tested for the post-test after verifying its validity and stability.The data were statistically analyzed using the T-test.The study reached the following results:-- There are statistically significant differences in the level of the pre-test and post-test of the experimental sample where the level of their achievement in the post-test has increased.-There were statistically significant differences in the level of the post-test of the experimental sample and the control sample and it was in favor of the experimental sample.

The above results indicated the effectiveness of the learning cycle strategy according to constructivism theory in increasing the students' achievement in chemistry.

In light of the results, the researchers recommended the following:-The use of modern methods in the teaching of chemistry during the teaching and learning process.-Giving attention to the learning cycle according to the constructive theory and other effective methods of teaching and its use in schools and its perfect implementation in all the educational in all subjects.-Preparing schools in accordance to the implementation of the strategy of the learning cycle in terms of the size of the classrooms and the provision of teaching aids.- Preparation of laboratories and the provision of chemicals and tools which help the students carry out the educational activities of the learning cycle.
