Abstract EN

The current study aimed to explore the relationship of the perfectionism in the Social Self-Efficacy and the satisfaction of the social-life, the sample of the study consisted of (421) students from the Northern Border University.

The study applied the Hewitt and Flett perfectionism scale (Hewitt & Flett, 1991), the Social Self-Efficacy scale, and the scale of satisfaction of the social-life, prepared by the researcher.

The study figured out that the university students in general have a medium level of perfectionism, and a high level of self-social effectiveness and satisfaction of the social-life for the targeted sample.

The results showed that there were differences with statistical significance in the nature of perfectionism in favor of the females, and that there were no differences in the level of Social Self-Efficacy and the satisfaction of the social-life due to gender.

Also, the results pointed that there is a negative relationship between the perfectionism and the Social Self-Efficacy and the satisfaction of the social-life.

The percentage of Explanatory variance reached (24.9%) for the level of the perfectionism in the Social Self-Efficacy and (22%) for the level of perfectionism in the satisfaction of the social-life.

The study recommended increasing the level of awareness and education among university students on the concept of perfectionism and its impact on the individual, providing counseling programs and training courses for students suffering from low level of social self-efficacy and satisfaction with social life
