Abstract EN

The Holy Quran considers Yahya and Jesus as divine prophets, pointing to their time and lives, not mentioning another part of their lives, but writers and poets have added unspoken parts of their life - as needed.

Given the many differences in the lives of these two Prophets, the scholars do not find themselves in the presence of a Yahya and a Jesus in their historical books and sacred books (Quran, The Four Gospels, The Ginza Rba, and Dirashat Ed Yahya).

But we encounter Jesus with the Qur'an "Jesus of Mary," the Evangelical Jesus, or Jesus "Jesus the Crucified" and “Jesus the Apostle ", because the Mandaean scriptures make Jesus the apostles of John.

There are also " Quranic Yahya”, Evangelical Yahya” or "Yohanna the Baptizer” and “Mandaean Yahya" differently.

Most of the Mandaeans consider themselves the Sabeins mentioned in the Qur'an.

In this study, two Mandaean poets, Abdul Razzaq Abdul Wahid and Lamayat Abbas Ammarah, were chosen to measure their commitment to the views of the Mandaean religious texts around Jesus and John.

Although the two poets are aware of their religion, they use the thoughts and images of Jesus and John and do not go away from the frameworks - although many of these frameworks are opposed to the clear message of their religion.

The poems of these two are used to illustrate the biblical and Islamic texts.
