Abstract EN

This study aimed to realize the effectiveness of applying the School Based Teacher's Development ( SBTD ) program on increasing the teachers professional competences at UNRWA schools in Gaza Strep.

The also community of the study was consists of all elementary and preparatory school principals whose schools included elementary classes, with number of ( 233 ) schools .The representative sample of the study included all ( 40 ) North Gaza UNRWA The researchers applied the descriptive approach so they designed the research tool which was the questionnaire and consisted of two parts, The first represented the basic data, and the second consisted of (40) statements, divided into (6) excesses 1- Developing active pedagogies 2- Learning focused classroom practices 3- Assessment for quality learning 4- Teacher's role in promoting literacy and numeracy 5- The inclusive approach to teaching and learning 6- Engaging parents in raising achievement The results of the study revealed that The degree of the SBTD effectiveness came in a high position up to (%82) in increasing the teachers' competences according to the school principals point of view There was no statistical significant difference due to (gender) in the questionnaire median.

However there was a statistical significant different due to ( years of experience ) in the questionnaire median The study recommended the essentiality of supporting the activities available in the training modules, offering scientific models in different school subjects, and offering time to change the activities found in the modules
