Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of the using function graph plotter based on multi-representation on the development of critical thinking among scientific secondary first grade students in Jordan.

The sample was consisted of (50) students scientific secondary first grade students which selected purposely from two divisions of the first grade of secondary education in the Directorate of Education In Al-Russifeh in Jordan, the two division were randomized assigned to an experimental group that was studied using function graph plotter, and the second was a control group studied in the conventional way.

A critical thinking test was developed that included five areas: knowledge of hypotheses, evaluation of arguments, interpretation, deduction, and extrapolation.

The results revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05 = ɑ) between the two adjusted arithmetic means of the scores of students on the critical thinking test attributed to the use of function graph plotter based on multi- representation, and the existence of significant differences at the level of (α =0.05) Between the adjusted arithmetic means at the level of (α =0.05) for the scores of each component of critical thinking test.

The study recommended using similar educational software within each module and training teachers to use such software
