أثر الإنفاق العام على النشاط الاقتصادي في العراق للفترة 1998-2017

Abstract EN

Public spending is one of the most important tools of financial policy, which can contribute to activate the activities of the national economy and achieving economic activity.

Gross domestic product (GDP) is one of the most important economic measures which has an important and effective role in the development of economic activity of the countries.

In this research, both the public expenditure and GDP indicators for Iraq for the period 1998-2017 were analyzed.

The effect of public spending on GDP was also studied.

The simple regression model was used to study this effect.

The results of this analysis showed that there is strong impact of public spending on GDP and high positive correlation between them.
