Abstract EN

In accordance with the provisions of international law which oblige Member States to include the protection of women from the violation of their sexual freedom and the fact that Algeria has adopted a number of stereotypical texts which constitute a violation of the sexual liberty of individuals in general without discrimination on the basis of sex in their former penal system; For women in certain sexual offenses, but this does not mean personalization because it is due to the nature of the crimes themselves, as in the case of rape, for example.

Within the framework of legislative reform and implementation of international obligations, the Penal Code introduced some amendments through Law 15-19 of the Penal Code, which promotes more protection for women against any violation of their sexual freedom, which in fact is also constitutionally guaranteed.

However, our study will be limited to the substantive criminal policy adopted by the Algerian legislator to reduce the phenomenon of violence against women's sexual immorality stipulated in article 333 bis
