Abstract EN

The subject of this research deals with two topics of Al-Muntafiq tribe during the Ottoman rule of Iraq (1869-1915).

The first topic dealt with agriculture in Al-Muntafiq tribe and explained its importance to the inhabitants of the tribe and how to practice it, with reference to the most important agricultural areas in the tribe as well as the most prominent agricultural crops found in most of its cities.

This study made sure that the Ottoman government paid attention to this aspect, besides the obstacles peasants were facing.

The second topic focused on the animal production in the tribe, in terms of the preparation of livestock and its diversity, which existed there as well as pointing to its importance, its uses in their daily life, and benefit from it in various other things.
