Abstract EN

The research focuses on studying the kingdoms of the Indian subcontinent (Kingdom of Dahme as a model).

These kingdoms contributed in determining the possibility of the unity of India administratively and politically and whether it was possible to achieve this unity or not.

In different historical periods, India witnessed events which allowed for a number of its kingdoms to control the nature of their foreign relations in addition to the submission of the political Indian kingdoms to one of those kingdoms.

Kingdom of Dahme assumed such a role according to many factors (geographical area and location, the military power, political stability, economic capability, its relations with countries away from the borders of the Indian subcontinent.

The research attempted to know the Kingdom of Dahme, its geography, its political, military and economic conditions, and to know the reasons that led the Islamic Arab sources of the centuries(3-4 A.H./ 9-10 A.D.) to avoid mentioning the conditions of the Kingdom (its divisions, prominent cities and capital, and its social, scientific, cultural, architectural conditions).
