Abstract EN

This study was performed in order to analyses the Crisis of Democracy in the Arab World in the light of the internal challenges and globalization challenges, it is obvious that the Arab reality shows the incapacity of the Arab countries to translate these democratic values into field acts, which prevented building the state institutions granting the democratic practice as responds to the challenges of globalization.

The plans of promoting democracy in the Arab world were linked to several international initiatives, among which the great middle east project which reflects the American ambition to dominate the Arab region in the framework of imposing democracy, at the same time the European policies in the Arab world were linked to several initiatives of regional dimensions but, despite the fact that these policies carry in itself an endeavor to build democracy, the reality shows a duality in these initiatives between the formal discourse and the realistic practices.
