Writings in comparative politics has explained the absence of democracy in the Arab world, as well as barriers that prevent its establishment, and there are Arab approaches tried to explain the mechanisms that helped the continuation of authoritarian regimes, and in both cases, the missing link is the absence of scientific efforts which helps us to understand the transition thresholds and the disintegration of authoritarian regimes.
