In view of the fact that the legal system on domain names has not yet been developed and due to the fact that most electronic and Internet legislations around the world have been devoid of rules regulating and protecting domain names, national courts and international organizations have dealt with these simply as electronic headlines that are dependent on technical procedures for their work and existence.

They have also dealt with them as representing an intrusive element to intellectual property rights, which prevented the formulation of a proper legal system for domain names.

However, over time, domain names gained ground on the legal scene and received some recognition from some national courts and some international organizations and statutes.

They benefited from the fact that the right to domain name is acquired as soon as it is registered in the designated centers according to the rules and conditions in effect.

This is precisely what gives it the right to ward off any related attack it may be subjected to.
