The term ‘terrorist threat’ is a term introduced by the UAE legislator in Federal Law No.

7 of 2014 regarding the combating of terrorist crimes.

In accordance with article 41 of this law, a person represents a terrorist threat if he adopts an extremist or terrorist ideology and is likely to commit a terrorist crime in the future.

The person who represents a terrorist threat is subjected to reform programs that aim at correcting his deviant thought and eradicating the terrorist threat from it.

This study is intended to illustrate the concept of terrorist threat and how the UAE legislator dealt with it.
