Abstract EN

The research significance is about using the methods of self and collective –competition and their impact on self-efficacy and learning some forms of scoring in handball.

The researcher used the experimental approach and the study was conducted in the form of equal groups for its suitability in the application of its procedures.

The sample of the research was the students of the second stage of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - University of Qadisiyah, (45) students, were randomly divided into three control groups and two experimental groups (15) students per group.

The necessary tools and equipment were used in the research and the steps of its implementation, which included the use of the two methods, the pilot study and the main field experiment included in the pretests and the application of methods and then the posttest.

The researcher concluded the student's need to use the best methods to help them increase self-efficacy as well as in learning some forms of scoring in handball.

The researcher recommends using these methods in the teaching units because of their great role in self-efficacy and learning some forms of scoring in handball
