The study area is one of the agricultural areas that are famous for growing the rice crop.

This is due to several natural factors related to soil, climate and abundance of irrigation water, as well as other human factors.

It is cultivated as a popular heritage among the farmers of Kufa.

The research aims at revealing the type of correlative relationship between the geographical components and the rice yield in the Kufa district and the strength or weakness of this relation with the area and production and indicating the areas that have the most area and production within the study area.
