Abstract EN

This study aimed to find out the effect of female teacher on the achievement of male students in the three primary grades in language and mathematics.

The study sample was divided into two experimental groups: the male students studying by male teachers and the total number was (597); the male students studying with the female teachers, and the total number was (420) and applied standardized tests designed by the Saudi Ministry of Education to evaluate the performance of the Saudi teachers known as "Hassen" tests.

The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the averages of test scores to favor the group studied by the female teachers at the level of significance (α = 0.05) of the in the second and third grades in both subjects, and first grad in mathematics only.

But this results did not confirm that the reason was the type of teacher, because there is related tool was applied: forms to collect information about factors that affect on student achievement.

By conducting multiple linear regression analysis, the difference in student scores was explained by other factors, that was confirm from previous studies.

The study recommended to separation girls and boys to avoid the impact of bias in the type reflected negatively on the achievement of female students.
