The current study aims at knowing the strategic murder (M.U.E.D.E.R) impact in acquisition of historical concepts for fifth grade students and their tendency towards the discipline of history of Europe and modern contemporary America.
In order to achieve the aim of the study, the researcher put the two zero hypotheses: 1- There are differences at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental students who were taught history according to the a strategy murder (M.U.E.D.E.R) and the control students who were taught history according to the traditional methods in the acquisition of historical concepts.
2- There are differences at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental students who were taught history according to the a strategie murder (M.U.E.D.E.R) and the control students who were taught history according to the traditional methods .
The researcher used the experimental partial design with the post- test that depend on the experimental group who were taught history according to murder (M.U.E.D.E.R) strategy and the control group who were taught history according to the traditional methods.
The researcher randomly selected Al- Nasirah preparatory school for Girls in Baghdad, the second province of Rusafa to conduct the experiment.
The researcher has chosen Alsawari Secondary School for girls to be her sample school.
The sample consisted of (60) students, (30) in the experimental group and (30) in the control group and has matched the two in terms of (age, parents education, intelligence, previous year scores, previous knowledge).
Then, she tried to adjust number of variables.
The experiment started on Sunday 9/10/2016 and ended on Thursday 3/1/2017, the researcher has taught the two groups herself and the material included the first three chapters in the book Modern and Contemporary History of Europe and modern contemporary America for fifth grade (2016 - 2017) (literary branch) After she formulated and has (60) objectives.the number of concepts (20) concepts Then measure concept acquisition processes (definition , import , application ), she prepared the required teaching plans.
The researcher adopted to objectives for the acquisition of historical concepts made up of (60) items , the type of multiple choice .
She came up to the following findings : 1- The excel of the experimental group who were taught history according to murder (M.U.E.D.E.R) strategy over the control students who were taught history according to the traditional methods in the acquisition of historical concepts.
2- The excel of the experimental group who were taught history according to murder (M.U.E.D.E.R) strategy over the control students who were taught history according to the traditional methods in the retain of historical concepts.
In the light of the findings, the researcher comes up to a number of conclusions about the use of teaching in a strategie murder (M.U.E.D.E.R), and recommends and suggests a number of points to be considered by the teachers of history and those concerned in curricula and the methods of social sciences.
