This paper aims at identifying one of the mechanisms of developing Islamic finance in order to activate the financial sector.

It is represented in green financing, especially the Islamic aspect in financing and its role in the service of sustainable development.

In this paper, we discussed some of the concepts of green economy, green financing, green banks, Green Islamic Finance and its role in sustainable development, while offering green Islamic bonds in Malaysia as a model for leading Islamic finance.

With a view to providing new Shariah-compliant financial products that will help meet financing and development needs.
