English Abstract

In industrial processes control, liquid level control is one of the most common applications.

Many control techniques were created time by time and used to control the liquid level.

Fuzzy logic is used with a huge difference in different control applications.

The best feature of fuzzy logic control is that it doesn't require any mathematical model for the system.

It depends on operator experience, and it is simple to apply.

Hence, a lot of complex systems can be controlled without compute the accurate mathematical model of the system.

Also, fuzzy logic control improves controlling with non-linearity‟s in complex system.

In this study, we discuss the Tank Level model as an example of non-linear systems.

It will present the design of two types of fuzzy logic controllers, Mamdani and TSK for this model to show that the fuzzy logic controller can work satisfactorily with non-linear system.

GA is used in this thesis as optimization method to optimize the membership function in the fuzzy control model.

The result of fuzzy logic controller with GA optimization have been compared with fuzzy controller without GA by using Mamdani and TSK methods.
