Abstract EN

The objective of this study is therefore to know the impact of foreign direct investment on food security in developing countries in Arab countries in particular during the period (1995-2015).

In our study, we reached a set of results in which the most important is that most of foreign direct investments in Arab countries are oriented to the oil sector or the real Estate and services sectors, counter to the foreign direct investment in the food sector, which is very weak.

This small contribution to the foreign direct investment in the Arab countries was reflected by the weak impact on their food security indicators, which were proved by the results of the various models estimated using the panel models.

However, their impact remains stronger in an indirect way, mainly for countries depending on the outside in order to provide their food.
