Abstract EN

The study presents the methodology of one of the most important techniques of regression analysis, namely the binary logistic regression as the most suitable models for describing the data in which the response is binary and where the explanatory variables are of multiple levels.

In order for the content not to remain theoretical, the steps of the regression analysis were applied to a random sample Of the 217 SMEs.

A statistical model has been developed which has the capacity to classify institutions according to their current status to sound and unsound institutions, based on seven determinants represented in the nature of the financial structure, administrative aspects, technical aspects, human resources, marketing policies, support and accompaniment, and the external factors as well.

According tostatisticsof Nagelkerke R2 show that the estimated model has a high predictive power of 82 %.
