Abstract EN

This study deals with the subject of the juristic authentication code of the judicial conduct of the Judiciary Council of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan of 2017.

It defines the denotation and connotation of jurisdiction, its provisions, and the evidence of its legitimacy.

The study then tackles the principles of jurisdiction as viewed by Islamic jurisprudence and the Code of judicial conduct by addressing the most important matters in the Code which urge the judge to abide by them.

The study discusses how the judge should not be influenced by any factor, should treat opponents on equal footing and should avoid suspicious matters.

The researcher concludes that there is an agreement between Islamic jurisprudence and the Code of Conduct of the Jordanian judiciary, but the former is more comprehensive and detailed.
