Several opinions indicate that economic growth is insufficient to reduce poverty, it must be accompanied by an equitable distribution of income and more equitable for the poor, the socalled pro-poor approach.

In this article we will focus on the conceptual framework of inequality and pro-poor growth and then analyze the phenomenon of disparity in the Algerian economy by monitoring the evolution of the income share The poor and the rich, to determine how economic growth favors the poor in Algeria, focusing on consumption expenditure statistics for survey years (1988-1995-2000-2005-2011), the study concludes That economic growth in Algeria had a modest relationship in favor of the poor, and the share of the rich is still much more than the share of the poor.
