Abstract EN

The paper sheds the light on the movies which are based on literary works ,especially diaries as they are considered as a mental and individual product that is formed and shaped by overlapping life experiences .These diaries are considered to be a social, political and cultural guide and a witness to a comprehensive national phase with all its different conflicts.

This study focuses on the diaries with the theme of self –discovery and the extent to which the film makers could transfer the words to impressive images in a way that makes his choice non – arbitrary and based on the reception and readership of these text.

It is very interesting to find that the do not transfer the text literally but they choose to show some events and delete or change other, in addition to using some techniques , symbols and expression to show them of self –discovery .
