Postage stamp riches of cultural values and symbolic connotations, as it obtains its motifs from different kinds of arts, such as: Pharos, Coptic, Islamic, and contemporary art as wells, and this richness and diversity give the stamp it's importance as a historic record that keeps and transmit the culture and civilization of any nation through generations.

In addition, the stamp is considered one of communication channels between different nations as it passes easily and effectively through countries and continents carrying cultural information.

Although, the post stamp represents a modern plastic value, it doesn’t have the sufficient study in the field of design, neither in its design nor as an inspirational source for the other design fields' such as the field of textiles printing designing particularly the upholstery printed designs, which considered an important element of furnishing and interior design.
