The study sought to identify the status quo of supportive medical services provided for students with intellectual disabilities from special education female teachers at Al Mafraq Government in Jordan.
The data of the study was collected via a questionnaire developed for the objectives of the study.
The questionnaire consisted of ( 52) criteria distributing on ( 5) main domains.
The population and sample of the study included all special education centers and institutions, totaling ( 11) while special education female teachers totaled ( 80).
The results of the study showed that the status quo of supportive medical services provided for students with intellectual disabilities were ordered according to availability level in the special education centers and institutions as follows: physical therapy services, language therapy services, functional therapy services, medical health services, nursing services, respectively.
The means scores for the total instrument was ( M=1.76) with moderate level.
There were statistically significant differences (α=0.05) between public and private institutions and centers on the one hand, and international on the other, in favor of private and international in the medical health services and the nursing services and the total score.
There were statistically significant differences (α=0.05) between public institutions and centers and international, in favor of international institutions and centers in language therapy services.
There were statistically significant differences (α=0.05) between private institutions and centers from one hand and public and international on the other, in favor of private centers and institutions in physical therapy services.
