Abstract EN

Internet is certainly the most important innovation at the end of the 20th century.

The emergence and expansion of its use in enterprises has endured deep changes in the economic mechanisms and ways of doing business in several economic sectors.

Small & Medium Enterprises have shown a great response by adopting this technology to improve their performance and master competition.

In contrast, there are some studies that confirm that there is no correlation between the use of Internet and performance, which is called Solow Paradox “You can see the computer age everywhere but in the productivity statistics." In this paper we attempt to highlight the relationship between the adoption and use of Internet technology and performance in SME’s relying on various studies and models.
