The issue of the protection of biological diversity within the framework of the provisions of international law is one of the important topics that have attracted international attention due to its economic, developmental and social dimensions, especially with the dramatic increase in extinction rates, which is evidenced by the existence of a global biological crisis.

All these factors have led the international community to intensify the conclusion of international and regional agreements to protect and rationalize its exploitation.
